Large group in Virginia face drug charges

A large group of people in Virginia were arrested in early March 2018 from multiple jurisdictions, charged with an array of drug crimes. Police say that a number of people they are looking for continue to be wanted in connection with the drug investigation. The New River Regional Drug Task Force indicted 57 people before a grand jury on February 27 at the Montgomery County Circuit Court. These 57 people were charged in 93 different indictments, all of them related to drug offenses.

Russell County drug bust yields multiple arrests

A Virginia man has been indicted and arrested for distribution of methamphetamine. When Russell County officers arrived at his residence near Castlewood, several others at the location also ended up in custody and charged with a variety of substance and weapons charges.

Informants lead to arrest of Virginia man for alleged meth sales

Evidence provided by two informants working for the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Virginia Beach Police resulted in a raid on a home in the upscale Lake Shores neighborhood. Agents justified the search on reports from the informants who allegedly bought a total of 119 grams of methamphetamine during five different transactions with a man at the house on Oak Leaf Lane.

Man faces multiple charges in Virginia

A 41-year-old man was indicted on six charges by a U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was originally taken into custody along with eight other people in Ocean City in 2016. The charges include conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, evidence tampering and witness tampering. He also faces charges related to the intent to distribute fentanyl that caused serious bodily injury and caused death to another person.

Amherst County meth conspiracy investigation

According to reports, a 2-year investigation has led to over 55 arrests in Amherst County, Virginia. The local sheriff's office had launched an investigation involving multiple departments to identify participants in an alleged methamphetamine dealing conspiracy.

High school teacher accused of snorting cocaine in classroom

Virginia parents may be interested in learning that a 24-year-old teacher was charged with drug possession on Nov. 22 after she was recorded using cocaine in her classroom. She was teaching English at a Northwest Indiana high school.

Police take 2 into custody for $208,000 of marijuana

According to law enforcement authorities with the Christiansburg Police Department, two Virginia residents were taken into custody after police reportedly found $208,000 worth of marijuana in their home. The incident occurred on Nov. 22 in the early morning.Law enforcement officers were reportedly called to the home to help a man who was unconscious and not breathing. Upon their arrival, emergency personnel administered Narcan to the man, and he was taken to the hospital after being revived. While the officers were inside of the home, they reportedly noticed a large amount of marijuana.

Man faces felony drug charge in Virginia

A Virginia man was taken into custody at Middle River Regional Jail in connection with drug charges after search warrants were executed on his home and business properties in Waynesboro on Oct. 21. The joint investigation was initiated in the weeks prior to the arrest by the Waynesboro Police SWAT and Skyline Drug Task Force. On Oct. 27, news reports indicated that the investigation remained ongoing.

Men facing drug and gun charges after residence search

Two Virginia men were taken into custody on Oct. 19 after a Waynesboro Police Department drug squad executed a search warrant in Churchville. The men, who are 36 and 46 years of age, were transported to the Middle River Regional Jail where they were being held without bail. The search was the result of an investigation into methamphetamine distribution in Augusta County.
