Man charged with DUI, other violations in Virginia

On Behalf of | Jun 21, 2016 | Prescription Drug Violations

Creating a criminal defense may seem like a complicated endeavor for individuals accused of crimes. True, it may be difficult to navigate the proceedings on limited legal knowledge, but individuals who are facing charges for DUI or other serious charges can seek legal assistance if they wish. An experienced attorney could help interested parties better understand what they may face as their case proceeds and how they may be able to address it.

One man in Virginia is likely interested in consulting with an attorney after his recent arrest. Reports stated that the man had allegedly been driving erratically before he pulled into a parking lot. After entering the parking lot, three individuals approached the vehicle because they apparently thought it was their Uber ride. However, the driver and the individuals got into an argument that purportedly resulted in the man pulling a hatchet from his back seat.

The individuals got the hatchet away from the man before the man apparently tried to drive away. Police stopped his vehicle, and the man allegedly refused to participate in sobriety tests. As a result, the man was taken into custody and charged with DUI and other allegations.

As the man’s case moves forward, he may be wondering what legal strategies could be most helpful to his case. Creating and presenting a meaningful criminal defense could allow him to combat the DUI charge and other allegations brought against him. Reviewing his case and options with an experienced Virginia attorney could allow him to better assess his predicament and make better informed decisions as he moves forward.
