Traffic violations: Man charged for reckless driving in Virginia

| Apr 21, 2016 | Traffic Violations

Individuals may unexpectedly find themselves in situations in which they are being accused of serious crimes or other types of violations. In many instances, these parties could be charged in relation to the accusations, and, as a result, they may wish to determine which choices they have when it comes to addressing those allegations. In some cases, individuals could even face charges due to traffic violations.

It was recently reported that one man in Virginia was charged by police after being involved in a car accident. Apparently, the man, who was reported as being 65 years old, was driving a vehicle when he was unable to stop after coming over the top of a hill and seeing stopped traffic ahead. As a result, the man purportedly crossed into the opposite lanes of travel and collided head-on with a second vehicle.

After the initial collision, the man’s vehicle reportedly hit another car and a flatbed truck. Some injuries were reported, but those injuries were not considered life-threatening. As a result of this reported incident, the man was charged with reckless driving.

Facing charges of any type can be difficult for individuals, especially if they have limited knowledge of the law surrounding their particular predicaments. As a result, the man charged in this situation may wish to find out more about Virginia court proceedings for traffic violations and what may be expected of him. If he wishes to take such a step, he may also find consulting with an experienced attorney about the specifics of his case useful.
