Performer faces multiple drug charges

Virginia hip-hop fans may have heard about Chief Keef's legal troubles. On June 12 at about 8:30 a.m., airport security in Sioux Falls found four blunts and two marijuana edibles in his luggage. At about 9:12 that morning, the rapper was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. It was believed that he had between two ounces and a half-pound of the drug.

Rapper faces felony drug charge in home state

Virginia residents who have followed the career of Rich Homie Quan may have heard about his recent legal troubles. The rapper was taken into custody while on his way to a performance in his home state of Georgia. Police first made contact with Quan and five other men at a checkpoint.

Man sentenced to 39 years for maintaining fortified home

On May 23, it was reported that a Virginia man who pleaded guilty to six drug-related felonies was sentenced to 39 years in prison with 33 years and seven months suspended. The Ringgold man, age 42, was taken into custody and charged following a narcotics investigation and a search of his home.

Two arrested in drug raid

Two women were arrested following a drug raid in Bristol on May 1. According to police, a search warrant was obtained for a residence located on the 400 block of Lee Street. At approximately 9:30 p.m., police officers set off flash bangs to create a distraction while officers entered the home.

9 taken into custody in association with drug ring

On April 14, it was reported that several Virginia men were taken into custody after it was alleged that they were involved in a drug ring. The arrests occurred after a month-long investigation that began with a single child abuse complaint. Although a total of nine individuals have been taken into custody, two were still on the run.

3 in Virginia facing drug charges

On March 29, police received a report about a suspicious white van in Virginia's Nelson County. They pulled the van over and found marijuana in the vehicle. The police also took the driver of the van, a man, and the passenger, a 39-year-old woman, into custody. They were charged with one felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Man sentenced after authorities find drugs in his home

On March 22, it was reported that a Virginia man was sentenced to prison on charges that included possession with intent to distribute cocaine, heroin and marijuana. He had pleaded guilty to the charges on March 14 though he was actually taken into custody in 2014.

Former radio show star faces drug possession charges

Entertainment news sources report that well-known actor and comedian Artie Lange was taken into police custody on March 12, and fans in Virginia may want to know more about the events of that day. According to a spokesperson for the Hoboken Police Department, the incident occurred when officers responded to a call that someone was trying to break enter a vehicle parked in a garage.
